Early closing

Please note that the museum will be closing early on the following days:

Wednesday 8 September closing at 3pm.
Thursday 16 September closing at 4pm.

Many of the books we hold date from before 1900 and are difficult to locate in other libraries outside the major national institutions. With approximately 50,000 printed books, pamphlets and periodical volumes our collections are in many respects an unmatched resource.

The particular strengths of our Library are the collections of local interest. We specialise in guiding researchers along pathways of discovery. Whether you are still at school, at university, a postgraduate, a professor, local historian or simply interested in Cornish history and culture then a member of staff is always available to help you.
