How to book a Loans Box or Resource Pack

Follow these steps to book an artefacts loans box or resource pack:

  1. Decide which box or resource pack you would like to borrow.

  2. Select a date. Boxes and resource packs are loaned out Friday to Friday for 1 to 3 weeks. If you have booked a box for the first week after half term the box can be collected the Friday before half-term at no extra charge.

  3. Contact Vicky Smith at the Museum on 01872 272205 or click here to email a booking request.

  4. Collect the box or pack from the Museum and return it on the given dates.
  • Some artefacts loans boxes have specialist handling instructions. Generally this relates to the handling of bronze and silver items with gloves, which will be provided.

  • Arrangements can be made for the collection and return of boxes or packs on a Saturday.

  • The charge to borrow the artefacts loans boxes is £5 per box per week plus VAT (resource packs do not cost anything to borrow). The school will be invoiced directly at the end of term. Please note: a charge will be made for boxes that are not collected.
