Mummy on the move!
The Egyptian gallery will be closed from the 28 April. The Mummy will reappear when the new Ancient Civilisations gallery opens on the 8 June

The Museum and Library will be closed for the RIC Members Only day.

Workshops

Mrs Trevithick’s Tale
KS1 Famous People, Sense of Place, KS2 History
Meet Mrs Trevithick and find out about the life story of her inventor husband. Within a dramatic presentation pupils handle and discuss artefacts, photographs and working models. Finally pupils make a clay tile showing the famous Pen Y Darren - the first steam railway engine in the world.

Artefact Loans Box

Household
This box contains a selection of artefacts from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This popular box contains objects such as a copper kettle and a silver tea pot.
All boxes come with a selection of resources and information to support their use in the classroom.
