Second World War

Workshop

How did World War II impact upon daily life?
Met by 'Mrs Banks', in charge of welfare and billeting, pupils are immediately thrust into 1940's Britain. Using local oral history accounts from evacuees, radio broadcasts, sound effects, a packed suitcase and a selection of gas masks pupils begin to understand the impact rationing, gas attacks and being evacuated had on daily life.
Recommended for History, English, Drama and Gifted and Talented.

To book this workshop please contact Tracey Clowes on 01872 272205 x248 or email: tracey.clowes@royalcornwallmuseum.org.uk
