Mummy on the move!
The Egyptian gallery will be closed from the 28 April. The Mummy will reappear when the new Ancient Civilisations gallery opens on the 8 June

Objects- a powerful tool for learning

Objects are a great way to stimulate children’s imagination and creativity. Here at the RCM we offer a workshop that will engage children’s curiosity and give them an opportunity to explore objects in a fun and exciting way.

Marvin’s Marvellous Treasures

Join Marvin the Mouse on an amazing adventure through the museum.
Become a special mouse detective and explore the mystery objects Marvin has found.
Find out what the twisty – turny thing does and meet the Cornish Giant.
Get ready for a mouse-tastic time!

Cost: £2.50 per child, accompanying adults free.
Minimum number of children per group – 6

What’s In The Box?!

With a different theme each time these hands – on, imaginative sessions are designed to inspire our youngest visitors. Learn about the Museum’s treasures through handling objects, art and craft activities, stories, songs and rhymes.
Cost: £3.00 per child, accompanying adult free.
Maximum number of children per group – 14
