Mummy on the move!
The Egyptian gallery will be closed from the 28 April. The Mummy will reappear when the new Ancient Civilisations gallery opens on the 8 June

Work Experience
The Royal Cornwall Museum can offer two work experience placements in one school year.
Application is through a formal RCM work experience application form and covering letter. This can be downloaded from the RCM website, Cornwall Council website or by writing in person to:

We are only able to offer students one week of work experience as the Museum is extremely popular. We have an interview process for selecting students. Interviews are scheduled for mid December.
Job description
Job title: RCM Work Experience Trainee
Hours: Monday - Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm
Responsible to: The Director
Main function: This placement will involve working with a variety of the departments within the museum. You will have the opportunity to work on activities which will involve contact with the public, working with RCM staff, handling objects, and possibly travel with the curators or the outreach officer to meetings and sessions off site.
