Mummy on the move!
The Egyptian gallery will be closed from the 28 April. The Mummy will reappear when the new Ancient Civilisations gallery opens on the 8 June

Archaeological research & collection enquiries will be suspended from July 2011 - March 2012 inclusive. This is to enable the curator to work on a new Ancient Civilisations gallery, due to open in April 2012. Many thanks for your patience.

The issuing of accession numbers for archaeological archives is unaffected by this suspension.
- All object identification enquiries are suspended until April 2012.
