Cardew-Rendle History Prize 2012

Details for entrants aged 19 and over.

Thanks to a generous legacy from the estate of Harold Cornelius Cardew-Rendle, the Royal Institution of Cornwall is proud to be running the inaugural Cardew-Rendle History Prize.

The adult competition is open to anyone aged 19 and over on 3 April 2012.  To enter, competitors need to submit an original researched essay, 6000-8000 words in length, on any aspect of Cornish history or pre-history.  The essay should also include a 250 word abstract and should be written in a style likely to appeal to a wide range of readers.  A prize of £2000 will be awarded to the winner. Please feel free to publicise this prize with any local groups that you are aware of - a pdf of the poster can be downloaded below.

The deadline for entries is Tuesday 3rd April 2012 at midday.
