The Royal Institution of Cornwall (RIC) is the organisation that owns and manages the Royal Cornwall Museum and Courtney Library. It is responsible for looking after the museum and library for the enjoyment of visitors today and for generations to come. As a charity the RIC relies on donations and the support of its members to maintain and improve one of the UK’s oldest and finest museum and archive collections.

Membership
Joining the RIC is easy and members are rewarded with an exciting programme of events and opportunities. Members can expect to enjoy benefits such as:
- Biannual RIC newsletter with short articles and features of interest
- Invitation to the RIC annual excursion to special and unusual places of interest
- The annual RIC journal (not applicable for student membership)
- Free admission to the RIC Spring and Autumn lectures
- Advance notice of special events including invitations to exhibition Private Views
- Invitation to the Christmas event where you get the chance to experience the wonderful atmosphere of the museum ‘after hours’, meet the staff, volunteers and other RIC members
