Volunteering

If you have a little spare time on your hands and would like to spend it supporting the museum, meeting new people and learning new skills then volunteering could be just the ticket. Equally if you are looking to start a new career then volunteering could help you develop skills and gain invaluable experience in a workplace.

Volunteers assist museum staff in a variety of areas: marketing, events, collections care, documentation, archiving, fundraising and administration.

What if I can’t see an opportunity I am interested in?
Due to limited staff resources we cannot accept general applications for volunteering. If no opportunities specifically match your needs then please keep checking the website – as new ones may arise at any time!

We are only one of many museums in Cornwall that offer volunteering opportunities.  In fact some museums are run entirely by volunteers. For details of other museums in your area please see www.museumsincornwall.org.uk
