Our lunchtime lecture series accompanies our temporary exhibitions. Opening March 7, ‘All Monsters Great and Small’ will have a number of lunchtime talks exploring different facets on the theme of ‘Monsters’. All talks are free, but normal admission prices apply.

FREE LUNCH-TIME TALK ‘MEDIEVAL MONSTERS IN SCULPTURE’ 1-2pm on Wednesday 8th June.

Monsters were widely considered to exist in Medieval times, mostly due to the Bible’s mention of them and the existence of unexplored regions of the world. Come and hear expert Dr Alex Woodcock talk about their influence on Medieval sculpture.
