Museum Club

Do you love museums?  Are you aged between 7 and 14 years?
If so, the new RCM Museum Club may be just the thing for you!

Starting in September, Museum Club gives young visitors the chance to delve deeper into the treasures of the museum.

Discover more about the collections and exhibitions, through a range of activities including object handling, art and craft making, and creative writing.  Explore the historical, the beautiful and the weird and wonderful!

Museum Club will run on the 3rd Sunday of each month.  11am- 12.30pm.
Cost: £3 per session

Autumn Term:

Sunday 17th September- Museum Notebooks
Design and make a personalised notebook to start your museum journal of drawings, writing and ideas! Choose a favourite object on display and create a special poem for National Poetry Day.

Sunday 15th October- Fantastic Fossils
Examine fascinating fossils and create artwork inspired by their shapes and patterns. Plus, make some special ‘faux’ fossil fakes!

Sunday 19th November- Ancient Egypt and the Afterlife
Learn about the Afterlife, handle artefacts from Egyptian tombs, create beautiful observational drawings and make an Egyptian style charm.

Sunday 17th December- Victorian Christmas traditions
Unwrap some typical Victorian Christmas presents, make traditional decorations and treats, then play some party games!
