The Royal Institution of Cornwall is an organisation with a long history that is now in an exciting phase of change with ambitious plans for the future. We’re looking for new trustees to come and be part of that change and support the organisation to make an even bigger impact going forwards. This is a pivotal time in the Institution’s development and we’re looking for new trustees to join us in that journey.
First and foremost we are a collaborative and inclusive team that values openness and different points of view. We are particularly interested in applications from people from diverse backgrounds and welcome those that have never sat on a board before as a full induction and training will be given. We are looking for passion and commitment to our mission.
The museum and library are looking to develop and grow with plans to improve our building, provide a varied programme of exhibitions and events, welcome more visitors through our doors, and become a thriving and lively community hub. Could you be the person to help us as we take the next steps on our journey?
Trustees play a vital role overseeing the charity. You will help ensure the success of the organisation, working with the executive team to deliver our mission of inspiring positive change.
We are particularly interested in applications from people with experience in the following areas:
- Working with the community
- Communications or PR experience
- Fundraising or philanthropy
- Legal and/or HR expertise
- Commercial experience
- Working with museums and historic collections
