Father Christmas at the Museum

It's official: Santa's coming to Cornwall, and he's making a major pit stop at the museum here in Truro!

Father Christmas, Santa Claus, Old Saint Nick, Père Noël. Whatever you like to call the big man himself, you’ll be pleased to know he’s returning to the museum on selected dates in December for a walking theatre and festive grotto experience with added Cornish sparkle!

Father Christmas is partial to some Cornish storytelling, and this year he’s excited to share the tale of Jim the Cornish Knocker. Jim always dreamed of becoming one of the famous Christmas Elves and working at the North Pole. Perhaps you can help make Jim’s dreams come true?

Every child will receive a small gift and have the chance to meet and be photographed with Father Christmas.

We’ve teamed up with the fabulous Coppice Theatre along with Truro BID for this event, and are grateful for the support of Visit Truro. Tickets go on sale on 28th October. Keep an eye on our social feeds or sign up to our mailer for booking info.

There is a lift available to access the second floor of the museum if families need step-free access. Prams and buggies may be left at the entrance. Please note that pre-booking is required for this event.
