Finding Father Christmas at the Museum
Coppice Theatre and Truro BID are helping to bring Father Christmas back to Truro this festive season, and this time the grotto will appear inside Royal Cornwall Museum.
Finding Father Christmas at the Museum is a magical walkabout storytelling and grotto experience for families taking place on seven December dates in Truro’s Royal Cornwall Museum.
The experience involves families helping the elves look for Father Christmas, who is hiding somewhere in the Royal Cornwall Museum.
Families will be led through the museum by Jingle the Elf, hear a wintery tale or two and then meet Father Christmas for the second half of the magical 30-minute encounter.
Finding Father Christmas at the Museum tickets are on now sale at the Hall for Cornwall, in the box office, and on 01872 262 466.
Tickets cost £10 per child including a gift and £4 for each adult ticket. Families are welcome to explore the museum after meeting Father Christmas.
Alun Jones, Truro BID Manager said: “After the success of the last two years, we’re really pleased that Father Christmas can return to Truro and delighted that the Royal Cornwall Museum will be now hosting the experience. Thank you to Coppice Theatre, the Royal Cornwall Museum and to Father Christmas for working together with Truro BID to help create wonderful festive memories for families.”
Mike Tonkin-Jones, Co-Artistic Director of Coppice Theatre said: “We’re really excited to help bring some festive mischief to Truro once again this year. It’s always lovely to have the opportunity to help local families create lasting memories and share some festive magic with our elves. We can’t wait!”
Kate Clayton-Jackson Learning Manager at the Royal Cornwall Museum added: “The team at Royal Cornwall Museum are delighted to be hosting Finding Father Christmas this year. We look forward to welcoming families into the museum for festive fun and games amongst our beautiful collections. Roll on December!”
