Do you love museums?  Are you aged between 8 and 14 years?
If so, the new RCM Museum Club may be just the thing for you!

Museum Club gives young visitors the chance to delve deeper into the treasures of the museum.

Museum Club gives young visitors the chance to delve deeper into the treasures of the museum.  Discover more about the collections and exhibitions, through a range of activities including object handling, art and craft making, and creative writing.  Explore the historical, the beautiful and the weird and wonderful!

Museum Club will run on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
Sessions: Morning 11am- 12.30pm, Afternoon 1.30pm– 3pm
Cost: £3 per session


 Sunday 19th August – Museum Postcards
Design and paint a set of postcards featuring a range of artefacts and your favourite museum items.  A wonderful way to celebrate our 200th birthday!

Sunday 16th September- Ancient Egypt
Learn about mummification and handle artefacts from Egyptian tombs.  Make some observational drawings and an Egyptian style lucky charm.

Sunday 21st October- Cornish Fishing
Find out about traditional Cornish fishing by looking at artefacts and photographs. Make a Victorian chill lamp, which was used in the homes of Cornish fishing families.

Sunday 18th November- Fanciful Frames
See the decorative and beautiful frames surrounding the paintings in the Museum. Then create your own version using craft materials and faux gold.

Sunday 16th December- Traditional Christmas Crafts
See traditional Christmas presents for all the family and make some tasty treats and festive gifts to take home.
