Citizen Curator Objects

The Citizen Curators project is a three-year initiative supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund administered by the Museums Association, and part of our Arts Council England supported partnership programme led by Cornwall Museums Partnership.

RCM is one of seven museums participating in this unique programme having previously been the first ever host venue for the pilot in 2017/18.

It is a curatorial skills training programme for a group of volunteers, which began with learning about what it takes to be a good curator and what skills they require through sessions led by Tehmina Goskar of the Curatorial Research Centre.

This selection of objects has been chosen, researched and written about by the latest group of Citizen Curators: Jeni, Ben, Melissa, James and Abbie.
