Learning

Learning is at the heart of all we do at the Royal Institution of Cornwall and The Royal Cornwall Museum (RCM). Visiting RCM offers the opportunity to learn about the past, other cultures, and the natural history and geology of Cornwall in a creative and enjoyable environment.

Family Learning. Our youngest museum-goers can learn about the past through play in our monthly Mini Museums or get creative at our Art Club. Click here to find out more and to see what holiday activities we have available for children and families.

Adult Learners. RCM also offers a variety of opportunities for adult learners to take advantage of all the Museum has to offer. Click here to find out more.

Group Visits and Resources for Schools. As well as the opportunity for learning that a visit to the Museum can provide RCM offers a selection of workshops for schools to support a variety of National Curriculum subjects and a loans service offering objects and resource packs from a range of historical periods.

The Courtney Library and RIC Photographic Library offer opportunities for independent study and local research. Click here for more information.
